Accidents do happen , at work or at home, in the street and at any time. Whereas most accidents would not affect most people's lives, sometimes they can have profound effects and in circumstances where others are to blame the pursuit of legal action is sometimes necessary.

Hong Kong has a well developed legal structure for those who are injured in accidents .Under the Employees Compensation Ordinance all employees must by law be insured by their employers. It is an offence for an employer not to do so. Under this Ordinance there is a mechanism whereby the court can order can make an award of substantial compensation irrespective of blame to an injured person who was injured at work or in the course of executing work- related duties.

Further, anyone injured in circumstances where another party was either wholly or partly to blame can seek legal compensation under the common law through the courts in Hong Kong.

If you think you have a claim or you have suffered an injury please fill out the enclosed questionnaire below which will let one of our panel of solicitors assess, free of charge, whether you have a prima facie claim.

Legal Aid is normally available for meritorious legal suits of this nature, provided you come within the requisite financial limits set by the Legal Aid department.
